Souplesse

Souplesse is a long-term artistic project that has been unfolding over more than twenty-five years. It began with an encounter with a single historical image and has since developed into a sustained process of transformation, repetition, and reinterpretation.

Working across drawing, photography, sculptural objects, books, projection, and moving image, the project explores how an image can be carried forward through time — not as a fixed reference, but as a living motif that changes through use, context, and medium.

Rather than seeking resolution, Souplesse embraces continuity and variation. The work reflects on artistic inheritance, persistence, and the question of how meaning is generated through long-term engagement.
